I dedicate this art doll to all the “odd girls” (and not girls) out there.

You know, to those the sensible ones, those that get exited when they see clouds, butterflies or kittens, those that are passionate about what ever they are passionate about, to those that are ignoring trends and unintentionally create trends themselves, to those honest ones, the sincere ones, to those that are being nice simply because they are nice and not because they expect something in return, to those that hold their fingers crossed for you and wish you well, but if you hurt them – you die in their heart and therefore they will treat you accordingly.

This ribbon jointed art-doll is a shelf sitter. It’s supposed to be displayed in a sitting position. The construction of the limbs and the head joint allows a change of poses which can bring out different moods in a doll. 
The height is of the doll while sitting is 20cm. The spread of the wings is 24.5cm.

The doll (including hair and shoes) was hand made from bone porcelain and painted with porcelain paints. In order to achieve this translucent “water color-like” look, It has received many layers of paint and has gone through many cycles of firing.

The doll’s outfit was made from hand dyed natural silk and viscose fabrics and permanently attached to the doll.

The wings were also made from natural silk and embroidered by hand with hand dyed silk threads.

The design of this doll is unique and will not be repeated.
